A Surprise Installation and Immediate Problems
When Israel’s parents in Phoenix, Arizona, had solar panels suddenly installed on their home in 2021, they didn’t realize they were stepping into a long and frustrating legal battle. The panels, installed by Titan Solar without the family’s usual involvement or informed decision-making, led to roof leaks, financial confusion, and ultimately a complete breakdown in trust.
The Hidden Damage Titan Tried to Ignore
Shortly after installation, the home developed a leak in the kitchen directly beneath the solar panels. Israel and his family tried repeatedly to get Titan to address the issue, and after prolonged delays, the company finally sent technicians. Shockingly, the technicians admitted the panels never should have been placed on that roof due to pitch and structural concerns. Despite that, the job had been done—and done poorly.
A Company Disappears, and the Bills Keep Coming
Eventually, the roof required major repairs. The family and Titan reached a partial agreement to split repair costs, but the company stalled once again. Then, in late 2023, Titan went out of business without warning. Israel’s mother found out the hard way—by visiting Titan’s office to make a payment, only to discover it was shuttered. With panels off the roof, mounting payments, and no support from Titan, the family was left in limbo.
Turning to Prevost Law Firm for Help
After failed attempts to negotiate directly with their loan provider, the family hired Prevost Law Firm. “Once we brought in the legal team, everything changed,” Israel said. “You guys took care of the whole thing for us.” While the settlement details are confidential, the outcome left the family relieved and grateful.
