Navigating the world of home solar energy can sometimes lead to unexpected and stressful challenges.

At Prevost Law Firm, we are dedicated to helping our clients find their way out of these “solar messes” and securing the justice they deserve.

Recently, our own John Smith sat down with one of our clients, Selena Perez, to discuss her journey from a failing solar system to a successful legal resolution.

The Challenge: A System That Failed When It Was Needed Most

Selena’s story began with a common goal: investing in solar energy for her home. However, just weeks after installation, her system began to have issues. The situation escalated when a tropical storm hit her area, leaving her system completely non-functional.

To make matters worse, Selena soon discovered that her solar installer had gone out of business. Left without a working system and no warranty support, she found herself trapped in a cycle of endless phone calls and no solutions.

“I decided that I was investing too much for it not to work,” Selena shared, reflecting on the frustration of “going in circles”.

The Solution: Legal Action and Results

Recognizing the need for expert help, Selena reached out to Prevost Law Firm after seeing our positive client reviews. We took action by filing a case against her lender.

The process was efficient, taking approximately 10 months to a year from the initial filing to reaching a settlement. While the specific terms of the settlement remain confidential, Selena expressed great satisfaction with the outcome.

Moving Forward with Peace of Mind

Beyond the settlement itself, we continued to work with Selena to ensure all aspects of her case become resolved. This includes confirming the reamortization of the loan and release of the lein. We are also currently working to ensure she receives proper credits for the period before her loan was adjusted.

When asked if she had any advice for others in a similar situation, Selena’s message was clear:

If you’re thinking about it, do it. Definitely made me happy in the end.

At Prevost Law Firm, we are proud to have helped Selena resolve her “solar nightmare” and move forward with confidence.
